All Quiet On The Midwestern Front

Since Kate has stopped working at the bookstore things have been very difficult in Nebraska. As you can see there's hardly any room for Mia on the couch because Thomas Pynchon is growing at an exponential rate. Kate also has been having to attend to multiple social events to celebrate her departure from Barnes & Noble. "It's Friday and I don't have to go to work tomorrow!"

It hasn't been all lounging here at the house, we have attempted to redecorate our house. The work has been a little slow-going, but we've accomplished a lot. We discovered this treasure when tearing down the horrific pink wallpaper in our guest bedroom.

It seems Katharine is not the first Kathryn to live here. When I saw the name I wanted to instantly shout "Kathryn McCann Waldron 1985, where are you?" Then a Scooby Doo-esque Seventies era song would start in singing the merits of snacks and what one should be willing to do for one. Anyways. Kate was three in 1985.

Also, today was my last day at the bookstore.

First, the only known evidence that our cats can in fact tolerate each other long enough to snuggle, at least once:

(also ignore all the scattered junk mail they're sprawled out on)

And secondly, after more than a year and a half of marriage, I finally, finally got a new social security card. I think that makes me legally Mrs. Gaskin. You may all cheer.

In Lieu of Actual Words...Except These Ones

We bought a new computer! And a new camera! Now we're poor.
